SOS WHITSTABLE

WHITSTABLE

Reclaim the sea. Stop the sh*t.

SOS Whitstable

SAVE OUR SEAS

On the 9th October we gathered together in Whitstable to protest against the shameful practices of Southern Water who are disposing poisonous sewage into our sea. The weather on this day was glorious, but most of the beaches in Thanet were closed due to sewage on the shore. The company, who claims to care about the environment, completely fails to do so and dumps the waste into the sea to maximize their profits. It affects the sea life, lives of many people and local businesses. People gathered together to raise awareness of these unethical practices and to put a stop to it. Scroll down to see some photographs from the event.

Thanks to the amazing environmental campaigners and founders of the SOS Whitstable who managed to gather the community together and achieved this in such a short time. What an amazing event and we’re all looking forward to the next one, let’s RECLAIM THE SEA!
